From the steep, terraced vineyards of Portugal’s Douro Valley, Altano Douro Red is a vibrant and expressive blend that showcases the region’s depth, structure and natural intensity. Deep ruby in colour, it opens with inviting aromas of ripe blackberries, dark cherry and plum, layered with subtle notes of violet, spice and a hint of wild herbs.
On the palate, it is smooth and well-balanced, offering generous flavours of black and red fruits alongside gentle spice and a touch of earthy complexity. Fine tannins and fresh acidity provide structure while keeping the wine approachable and versatile, leading to a soft, lingering finish.
