Hitachino Nest Classic Ale is a 7% ABV Japanese interpretation of a British-style pale ale, aged in Akita cedar casks, which gives it unique aromas and flavors of cedar, white pepper, and woodiness. It features a medium body with a sweet-bitter balance, notes of caramel and toffee, and a dry finish, while its traditional British hops provide a spicy yet mild character. The cedar cask maturation process is a key feature, as it imparts a subtle woody and peppery quality that sets it apart from typical IPAs.
